How much did we raise for charity at our recent concerts? Thank you to everyone who sings or supports us at our many fund-raising events. Together we can make a real difference.
Over the SfF years, in Pembrokeshire and in Leicestershire, we have raised in the region of £100,000, an extraordinary amount of money, especially given the fact that most of our concerts are free!
Christmas Eve carols at St Bride’s Castle
(Holiday Property Bond)
Some fifty of us gathered in Letterston for one of the two final performances of last year’s music on Saturday 14 September. £366.50 was raised for Shalom and Sartori. And we did it all over again in Solva on Monday 16 September, raising £228 for Solva Care.
We’ve done it again! Our concerts in Moylgrove and Dinas Cross (standing room only!) raised £428.22 for Macmillan Cancer Support. Big wow, especially since Adam and Jane donated £860 from Adam’s birthday bash collection ... so £1288.22 in total. Even bigger wow!
And our Letterston audience came up trumps yet again - £623.45 raised, to be divided between Marie Curie Nurses and Admiral Nurses (Dementia UK). Thank you all so very much.
Letterston, June 2019
To say that our members are extraordinarily wonderful is a gross understatement! So many of them travelled miles over the Christmas period in order to support one another in a huge number of community events. As if that wasn’t enough, they also performed at four free one-hour concerts, raising a spectacular £1219.51 for Wales Air Ambulance, a much-loved and much-needed (especially in these rural parts) national charity. Remarkable!
We wish Alan well on his Great Wall of China walk! The China concert on 15 September raised £336.89 for Sartori and May Gway oh May Gway is still an ear worm ..!
Another quite wonderful series of concerts - thank you to everyone!
Pancreatic Cancer Research £206.50

Anna, at Solva Woollen Mill, made us so welcome at the mill's Christmas Fayre on Saturday 25 November, as we entertained the shoppers with carols and seasonal songs. How lovely to see so many joining in with us ... and in November!
Anne has made a friend ..!
And we entertained at the Sartori Volunteers' Christmas Party ... and were treated to a fabulous buffet in thanks. Here are some SfFers who sang for their suppers.
The biggie ... singing for the Grenfell Tower kids' holiday at Treginnis Farm raised over £2,400!!!!!!
Raise the Roof for POINT raised £245 at the Town Hall in Fishguard. What an atmosphere! The audience came from far and wide - including Cheltenham, Swindon ... and Malaysia! - and was hugely complimentary. The money raised goes much of the way towards the cost of a safe-guarding course for some three hundred local youngsters.
Our joint concert with the Goodwick Junior Band raised £400 for a defibrillator at the Phoenix Centre on an extremely warm evening! Super stuff.
Cruise ship visits raised £400, which will be divided between Paul Sartori, the local RNLI, Wales Air Ambulance and the Grenfell Tower holiday.
Brynberian's singalong for Wales Air Ambulanceraised £96.51. What a beautiful setting in the old school.
A Cuppa, Cake ... and a Sing in Moylegrove raised £100 for the village defibrillator. Great singing and great cake!
Raise the Roof in Newport raised £278.10, to be shared between Sartori and Shalom. A big thank you to Tabernacle for letting us use the church for free.
Raise the Roof in Letterston raised £405.41 for the Lions charities. Thanks to the Lions who came along ... even after their own Fun Day. Lions are obviously really tough.
Raise the Roof in Solva raised a whopping £290.77 for Shalom. What an enthusiastic audience!
Sing for the Heart in Dinas raised £520 for the village defibrillator - fabulous.
SfF Pembrokeshire and Leicestershire together raised just under £9500 in our Christmas events. An extraordinary achievement!
